Day 10: Waking up IN Zion & Conquering Laundry Mountain!
Good morning from ZION! Those huge dark shadows we saw last night? They're the absolutely MAJESTIC cliffs of Zion, literally rising up all around our campsite! This campground is incredible – stunning views in every direction without even leaving "Buzz." Definitely a top pick for just soaking in the beauty.
Late morning, we hopped on the park shuttle to explore further, riding up to the Riverside Trail that leads to the famous Narrows. While we're glad we experienced it (and the kids LOVED splashing in the Virgin River at the start!), we all agreed: Zion for us is best enjoyed from our amazing campsite rather than navigating the HUGE crowds. The views from the shuttle and trail were beautiful, but honestly, not much different from what we see from our "front yard" here! Oh, and the squirrels? Boldest little critters ever, clearly used to being fed (please don't feed the wildlife, folks!). They were everywhere! And then... the grand finale of the day: LAUNDRY. Yep, even in paradise, laundry for 10 needs doing!
Finding a laundromat and tackling that mountain of clothes was definitely the most glamorous part of our trip so far. Still working on mastering the art of efficient laundry for a crowd on the road!
